Job Summary: The Remote 3D Artist is responsible for creating high-quality 3D models, textures, and animations for various projects, including games, films, virtual reality experiences, and other multimedia applications. This role requires creativity, technical skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. The 3D Artist collaborates with other team members to bring visual concepts to life while maintaining a consistent style and meeting project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:

3D Modeling and Texturing:
- Create detailed and optimized 3D models for characters, environments, props, and other assets.
- Develop and apply textures, materials, and shaders to models.
- Ensure models and textures are of high quality and meet project specifications.

Animation and Rigging:
- Design and implement animations for characters, objects, and scenes as required.
- Rig characters and objects for animation and ensure proper movement and deformation.

Concept and Design:
- Collaborate with designers and art directors to understand visual requirements and project goals.
- Translate concept art and design briefs into 3D assets while maintaining artistic vision.

Quality Assurance:
- Review and refine 3D assets to ensure they meet quality standards and are free from errors.
- Optimize assets for performance and compatibility with various platforms.

Technical Skills:
- Utilize industry-standard software and tools such as Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush, Substance Painter, etc.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to 3D asset creation and integration.

Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with remote team members including animators, designers, and developers.
- Participate in virtual meetings, provide regular updates, and contribute to team discussions.

- Manage and prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain organized files and documentation for assets and processes.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelorโs degree in 3D Art, Animation, Computer Graphics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience: 2-5 years of experience as a 3D Artist in a relevant industry (e.g., gaming, film, VR/AR).

- Proficiency in 3D modeling and texturing software (e.g., Blender, Maya, 3ds Max).
- Strong understanding of animation principles and rigging techniques.
- Experience with game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) is a plus.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with a distributed team.
