As a Business Solution Design Senior Manager, you will lead the Business Transformation Solution (BTS) Team in Europe and Asia (EA), helping to define the optimal support model for the region and alignment of BTS expertise. You will understand and directly contribute to the IO 2031 strategy by inspiring your team and centering them on the mission, aligning efforts in support of achieving the teams objectives. You will leverage your teams technical design expertise to partner with the business to design and implement strategic solutions that enable automation capabilities. You and your team will have a direct impact in enabling Capital Group’s ability to support new investment services, investment vehicles, asset types, and optimize current operational processes to achieve greater scale to support business growth. You will advocate for  all 4 BTS practices (Solution Design, Data Governance, Business Insights and Reporting,  and Digital Transformation), make them better and leverage them all in support of EA Business needs and prioritise BTS engagements, setting up the team for success on new initiatives.

You’ll be responsible for building strong partnerships with other key areas and partners outside of IO including EACG, L&C, EDO, ECO, and ITG. You will be responsible for cultivating strong connections with BTS senior leadership team (all located in US), IO EA senior leadership team and advocate for IO's role in supporting EA.

You will be responsible for leading a team, resource capacity management for associates and contractors, including; prioritization, transparency, associate talent strategy and development and scalable vendor strategy. This will include coaching, identifying stretch opportunities, role clarity of team, assigning work, managing performance, and further developing the team to find better ways to identify and solve operational business problems. You will foster a culture where associates feel valued, engaged, and able to connect their contributions to Capital Group’s broader strategic priorities.

  • You are an experienced thought leader and have successfully managed complex projects in a matrixed environment, ideally in the investment management industry.
  • You have experience building high performing teams by leveraging staff to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of delivery.
  • You’ve built a career driving the successful execution of projects and solutions to deliver business outcomes based on key drivers of delivery (i.e. timeliness, quality, budget, resources, scope and completeness). 
  • You have an ability to translate vision into product scope by planning, prioritizing, coordinating and overseeing cross-functional projects and initiatives. 
  • You also have a passion for automation and “Citizen Development” with demonstrated interest in low-code and/or no-code tools (such as Alteryx, Microsoft Power Platform, Tableau, etc.)
  • You take the time to create and maintain meaningful relationships. You’re a generous collaborator and you’ve fine-tuned your communication style to influence a variety of personalities.
  • You’re well-versed in current approaches to business problem-solving methods - business analysis, process re-engineering, Agile principles, design thinking and product/project management.
  • You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Hiring for this role will be managed by Talent Acquisition in LDO alongside BDDG, leading as hiring manager. The selected candidate will report in to CATJ in LDO.

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
