Markham is a fast-paced event consulting firm serving progressive political groups, Fortune 500 companies, associations, and nonprofit foundations from around the world. Our Graphic Design Team is seeking a well-organized, motivated intern with experience in graphic design programs and the ability to manage multiple projects at once. This Graphic Design Internship position is virtual/remote and is based in our Washington, DC office with opportunities for in-person event experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As part of the Graphic Design Team, this intern will work in coordination with multiple teams throughout Markham on various projects under the direct supervision of the graphic design team. Responsibilities will include but are not be limited to:
Researching and sourcing design materials
Helping create designs, logos, and branding for event materials
Helping create mock-ups of merchandise and renderings of event displays
Helping coordinate timelines and deadlines as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Interest in political work and event design
Experience using:
Adobe Suite
Proficient in: Photoshop, Illustrator
Familiarity with: InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Keynote
Google (Docs, Slides, and Sheets)
Attention to detail
Great organization skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work individually and as part of a team
Ability to work well under minimal supervision
Ability to work on multiple projects at one time in an efficient manner
Ability to work in a fast pace environment
Available to work overtime and weekends
COMPENSATIONĀ
This is a paid, part-time internship with the opportunity to pick up more hours outside business hours and on the weekends. $17 per hour.

The dates of the Summer internship will begin in mid-May and will end late August, with some flexibility.
