About the Role
As a Graphic Designer, Environmental, you will play a vital role in creating visual identities and communication materials for the Flow brand. You will support the Design Services team and take the lead in designing logos, packaging, promotional materials, and other digital resources that reflect Flow’s practices. Additionally, this individual will often integrate company inspired branding (eg: colors, shapes, fonts) to visually communicate Flow's mission and values through impactful design. This role may require occasional travel to property sites based on projects goals and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the design and detailing of signage, wayfinding systems and physical brand moments at all scales
- Manage the detailing of environmental graphics projects at all scales
- Collaborate with design directors to produce high-quality internal brand playbooks
- Produce graphics that can also extend to digital and brand products (apparel, accessories and printed collateral etc.)
- Responsible for working with or leading projects and teams with a high level of proficiency and expertise while adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design and execution
- Exhibits advanced understanding of branding and storytelling strategies and design concepts including their seamless integration into the built environment
- Plans, executes, develops, and documents design strategies, planning and programming, brand identity and storytelling, brand architecture, brand extensions, and environmental branding
- Participates in site analysis, including survey of existing conditions and field measurements
- Complete tasks and responsibilities on projects, within the scope of schedule and budget, in an organized, timely, and consistent way
- Demonstrates strong and effective communication and direction which inspires high team performance and design ideas
- Reviews work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and for document compliance
- Accountable for effective coordination with contractors, vendors, partners and consultants throughout the design process
- Plays essential role in marketing efforts, develops strategic, conceptual, and developed design presentation materials, leads client presentations, and nurtures client relationships
- Travel may be required
Ideal Background
- 5+ years of experience in signage and wayfinding within an architecture or design firm
- Experience in environmental graphic and interior design is a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Experience with concept design through implementation of code signage, wayfinding signage
- Knowledge of implementation for environmental graphics is a plus
- Ability to effectively prioritize with strong time management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow and closely expand upon an already established brand look + feel
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Revit, AutoCAD, Miro, MS Office Suite and the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign specifically)
