Description

Apple’s Product & Design team is seeking an Animator/Motion Designer to work on consumer software applications for Apple Platforms. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in all of the classic principles of animation and is a brilliant problem solver, quick study, self starter, and excellent communicator with a passion for great design and the ability to achieve it.

From brainstorming through implementation, the Animator/Motion Designer will work with members of the Product & Design team, as well as our engineering, marketing, and QA groups. We are looking for a candidate who is ready to and capable of taking software design to the next level. This specialized designer possesses the blend of animation, UI motion design, and 3D design skills.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in animation, motion graphics and 3D design
  • Strong foundation and understanding of the all classic animation principles
  • Extensive expertise and proficiency in After Effects and Cinema 4D
  • Experience with Animation/Motion design in mobile UI
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent collaborative skills
  • Highly professional, with the ability to deliver solid work on tight schedules and work independently with little directions
  • Effective time management with an ability to spearhead multiple projects and work independently

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in Maya
  • Expertise in Octane, Arnold, RedShift, or similar rendering engines
  • Experience with Nuke is a big plus
  • Experience with prototyping software like Principle, ProtoPie, or similar
  • Problem solver and quick study able to work cross-functionally with product designers, engineering, marketing and QA

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
