Founded in 2020, Gunzilla Games is the independent AAA video game developer and publisher behind the free-to-play mobile game TECHNOCORE, the gamer-first blockchain GUNZ, and the upcoming next-gen battle royale Off The Grid, in three metropolitan locations: Frankfurt, Germany (HQ); Kyiv, Ukraine; and London, UK. The company is helmed by CEO Vlad Korolov and CSO Alexander Zoll. Gunzilla is built on the desire to innovate and push the limits of the games industry.

Morgan, Script Writer.

ABOUT THE JOB

Gunzilla Games are looking to recruit a Lead Game Designer to join us helping to lead our Games designers working on our game OTG (Off The Grid), an all-new AAA Battle Royale 2.0 third-person shooter, due for release on PlayStation®5, Xbox® Series X|S and PC


RESPONSIBILITIES

As our Lead Game Designer, you will:


  • Lead a team of systems designers in creating, developing, implementing, and managing game systems such as weapons, characters, and combat.
  • Provide creative leadership to the design team by encouraging functional, technical, and advocate for “player first” quality designs
  • Working with our Design director and other stakeholders drive the development of prototypes for new game features
  • Design, balance, and fine-tune game mechanics to ensure a satisfying and engaging player experience.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, artists, and animators, to implement and iterate on design elements and to deliver features and systems with the highest quality.

REQUIREMENTS


  • 5+ years’ experience in game systems design with at least one shipped AAA title.
  • Proven success in creating compelling and innovative systems ideally in BR, Multiplayer or FPS titles
  • Experience in leading and mentoring a team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive working environment.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex concepts, including experience in creating detailed project documentation.
  • Passion for game systems design and the ability to effectively share knowledge with other team members.
  • Proficiency in using Unreal Engine 5 and blueprints.
  • Profound expertise in using game design tools and software

BONUS SKILLS


  • Experience with third-person shooter mechanics.
  • Strong scripting and coding skills for rapid prototyping.
  • Knowledge of current gaming trends and player behaviors.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and project management tools.
