Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop user-friendly digital interfaces.
Apply fundamental visual design principles, including typography, page hierarchy, layout, color theory, and iconography to create engaging designs.
Use design systems and UI libraries to maintain consistency across projects.
Participate in user research, applying findings to create user-centered designs.
Assist in ensuring accessibility standards such as Section 508 compliance in all designs.
Participate in design reviews and stakeholder meetings, contributing constructively to move projects forward.
Work with development teams to ensure design integrity throughout the development cycle.
Requirements:
BA in a related field, bootcamp certificate, or equivalent education and relevant work experience.
2-5 years of experience in UX/UI design.
Basic experience with modern product development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
Proficient in design and research tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
Demonstrated experience with user research methodologies and incorporating research findings into designs.
Clear, kind, and candid communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical team members.
Ability to self-manage time, responsibilities, and priorities while working in a team-oriented environment.
Design Thinking training or experience .
A portfolio showcasing two or more educational projects and at least one real-world project that demonstrates your role in leading stakeholder meetings.
