Meta Game Designer (Monetization & Balance)
farcanaWe are looking for a Meta Game Designer who possesses a deep understanding of both player needs and business objectives. The ideal candidate will be able to conceptualize features and game systems that enhance gameplay and drive monetization.
What you will do:
Analyze in-game economies and player behavior to optimize monetization strategies and revenue.
Develop pricing models for virtual goods, currencies, and other in-game items.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to make informed economic decisions, and suggest new ways to make profits.
Collaborate with game designers and production team to balance game mechanics with economic considerations.
Identify and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to in-game economies and recommend adjustments as needed.
Create reports and presentations to communicate economic insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
Stay updated on the industry trends and best practices in virtual economies and game monetization.
Requirements:
Experience in a relevant role: At least 2 years in the game development industry or virtual economy.
Deep understanding of Web2 and Web3 technologies, along with relevant commercial experience in game projects in this area.
Gaming experience: Experience with PC/consoles, understanding what gamers need, and a strong desire to develop in this direction.
Experience in product creation: Experience launching game products either at the release stage or from scratch.
The ability to write technical specifications is essential for clearly documenting game design elements.
Knowledge of economics: Knowledge of microeconomics, game theory, and behavioral economics.
Familiarity with development processes: Understanding of game development processes and in-game monetization strategies.
Data analysis experience: Experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and econometric techniques.
Strong analytical skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Communication skills: Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Data proficiency: Ability to work with data and proficiency with tools like Excel, SQL, and statistical software.
Creativity and resilience: Ability to generate new ideas and solve unconventional problems.
Language skills: Fluent in Russian and English.
