Mid- to Senior-Level Graphic Designer




Vault Communications, the Philadelphia area's #2 Top Workplace (The Philadelphia Inquirer) and three-time consecutive winner of the Philadelphia Business Journal's Best Places to Work in 2022, 2023 and 2024, seeks a self-driven, entrepreneurial-minded and talented mid- to senior-level Graphic Designer with motion capabilities strongly preferred to join our agency.




The Graphic Designer will work closely with the Senior Vice President of Creative Strategy and our dynamic, talented creative team to maintain and grow Vault's creative department as a center of excellence within the agency. The Graphic Designer is an important member of the design team, expected to evaluate creative briefs, manage incoming tasks and work collaboratively with creative and account teams to deliver exceptional work on behalf of our clients. At Vault, our creative work ranges from print to digital to motion to branding, as well as supporting strategic communications through presentation design — the ideal candidate will have experience in a broad spectrum of creative deliverables, or a keen interest in building new skillsets.




The Graphic Designer will have an autonomous yet collaborative environment, managing their own deadlines while keeping colleagues informed of progress. They will seek and thoughtfully apply direction from account teams, fellow creatives and the creative leadership team.




The Graphic Designer should strive to be a source of knowledge on design trends and best practices, while collaborating with staff to develop and execute strategic solutions in design and visual communications.




Our ideal candidate has:



  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or acceptable related field

  • 5+ years of experience in graphic design

  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects and Premiere Pro

  • A portfolio of client work demonstrating excellence in design, i.e. expertise in principles of design, composition, typography, color theory, and production

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to professionally explain design decisions, present and talk through client or internal feedback

  • Above-average analytical, multi-tasking and organizational skills, including attention to detail in reading and translating creative briefs and provided copy into accurate, stellar design drafts

  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, etc.)

  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment, adapt to shifting priorities and and work with colleagues to manage competing deadlines

  • Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills, and the ability to make strategic, sound recommendations to clients, peers and management

  • Boundless creativity and problem-solving-through-design approach

  • Resourcefulness and chutzpah

  • A desire to grow, learn, and eventually, lead

After completing an orientation/onboarding period in our office, candidates may elect a fully remote schedule or a hybrid schedule at our headquarters in suburban Philadelphia.
