ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a part-time Motion Designer that will be responsible for helping our digital marketing agency create high-quality motion graphics and animation for some of the world’s top e-commerce brands. You’ll need to have exceptional experience with Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premier Pro, and ideally with other 3D animation tools as well. This position has the potential to transition into a full-time role over time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and execute motion graphics and animation for various digital platforms including social media, website, and mobile apps
• Collaborate with the creative team to conceptualize and storyboard innovative animation ideas that align with project goals
• Utilize Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro to create high-quality visual effects, transitions, and animations
• Ensure consistent style and quality across all video content, adhering to brand guidelines and project specifications
• Work closely with editors, copywriters, and marketing specialists to integrate animation with other media elements
• Manage multiple projects from concept through completion under tight deadlines
• Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Animation, Film, or Graphic Design preferred)
• 3+ years of experience in motion design or a similar role
• Excellent proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premier Pro
• Experience with 3D animation tools such as Cinema 4D or Maya preferred
• Knowledge of additional tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, and additional video editing software preferred
• Strong understanding of animation, visual effects, and graphic design
• Ability to translate ideas into complete projects
• Excellent attention to detail with a strong sense of timing and visual awareness
• Capable of receiving, giving, and acting on constructive feedback to improve performance and deliver stellar final products
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment
• Ability to work in any US time zone, Monday to Friday (20 hours per week)
• Previous experience working the graveyard shift
• Nice-to-have: experience with Gmail and Slack
