An international Cosmetics company are looking for a Senior Designer to produce and oversee digital and print creative solutions to address our marketing needs with experience in the skincare and beauty industry.
To be successful in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of graphic design, styles and layout techniques. You should also have experience executing marketing projects from conception to production, including websites, social media, brochures and print material.
Responsibilities:
· Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing team members and develop and execute innovative and engaging designs that align with brand vision and strategy.
· Conceptualize and design : create visually captivating marketing materials, including packaging, labels, brochures, promotional materials, advertisements and digital assets.
· Consistency: Ensure all designs maintain a consistent brand image across various platforms and mediums.
· Brand Identity: Maintain brand visual identity through graphic design elements and concepts.
· Printing: Prepare print-ready files and artwork for production and to ensure high-quality prints
· Digital: Prepare digital assets like social media, newsletters, web, search banners, etc..
· Industry Knowledge: Stay up to date with industry trends, design techniques, and best practices to continuously improve design processes and maintain competitive edge.
· Communication: Effectively communicate design ideas and concepts to project managers for the relevant stakeholders/clients.
Skills required
1) Design Software Proficiency
Mastery of design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is a must. Any other relevant tools used for creating visual designs is a plus.
2) Layout and Composition
Ability to arrange design elements harmoniously, considering visual hierarchy, balance, and effective use of space.
3) Typography
Knowledge of different fonts, their characteristics, and how to use them appropriately for legibility and visual impact.
4) Color Theory
Understanding of color psychology, color harmonies, and the ability to choose and combine colors effectively in designs.
5) Image Editing
Proficiency in editing and manipulating images, including retouching, cropping, resizing, and optimizing for different mediums.
6) Illustration
Capability to create original illustrations or graphics by hand or using digital tools, demonstrating creativity and artistic skills.
7) Branding and Identity
Knowledge of brand guidelines and the ability to create consistent visual identities, including logos, brand elements, and style guides.
8) Print and Digital Design
Familiarity with the requirements and specifications for both print and digital mediums, including designing for websites, social media, and print collateral.
9) User Experience (UX) Design
Understanding of user-centered design principles to create designs that are intuitive, user-friendly, and visually appealing.
10) Communication and Collaboration
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively understand client requirements, present design ideas, and collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
11) Time Management
Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines effectively.
12) Attention to Detail
A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality in design work.
