Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Senior Game Designer to play a pivotal role in shaping the gameplay mechanics, systems, and overall player experience of our video games. You will utilize your extensive industry knowledge, exceptional design skills, and leadership abilities to create innovative and captivating gaming experiences. This role requires a deep understanding of game design principles, a proven track record of successful game development projects, and the ability to mentor and guide junior designers.

  1. Follow the game design process from concept to execution, ensuring the highest level of quality and innovation in gameplay experiences.
  2. Define and communicate design goals, systems, mechanics and player experience for each project, collaborating with stakeholders and aligning with the project's overall objectives.
  3. Guide the game design team, providing mentorship, feedback, and support to foster their professional growth and ensure the team's productivity.
  4. Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including game design documents, mechanics specifications, level layouts, and rulesets.
  5. Design and prototype gameplay mechanics, systems, and features that push the boundaries of interactive entertainment and engage players.



Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 
  2. 5+ years of experience in game design, with a demonstrated portfolio of completed projects.
  3. Exceptional creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate ideas into compelling gameplay experiences.
  4. Expert knowledge of game design principles, mechanics, and industry trends, with a passion for pushing the boundaries of interactive entertainment.
  5. Proficiency in industry-standard game design tools and engines, such as Unity, Unreal Engine, or similar platforms.
  6. Strong understanding of player psychology and user experience (UX) design, and the ability to create player-centric designs.
  7. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and adapt to changing project requirements and timelines.
  8. Published work or a comprehensive portfolio showcasing your design expertise and contributions to successful game projects.
