Our growing company seeks energetic and talented UI/UX Designers to work within our Toronto office and play a full-time role in collaboration with our Engineering Team. This is a full-time on-site role. Our team is passionate, excited about growth opportunities, and very creative. About the Role



  • Collaborate with Product Team and Product Manager on bringing the user experience to life, from conception to execution

  • Distill complex requirements to create simplified user experiences in a cross-platform environment

  • Solve product problems with a focus on the best user experience while balancing company and project timelines, and ease of implementation.

  • Define and refine visual and UX design language for Android, iOS, desktop, and web applications

  • Execute concept creation via wireframes, user flows, sitemaps & prototypes

  • Translate wireframe concepts into visual mock-ups by applying the best UI design patterns and standards

  • Develop and maintain pixel-perfect visual design specs and composites across all platforms including Android, iOS, and web products

  • Create visual design guides, specifications, and assets for development and partner with the Product Team on the implementation

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships

  • Iterate quickly in a fast-paced development

  • Able to prioritize and manage workload, meet critical project milestones and deadlines, and pivot as needed

  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of user-centered design, user testing methodologies, usability, and accessibility standards and practices (WCAG 2.0, 2.1).

  • Own all stages of the design process from initial concept, research, sketching, and user flows, through to high-fidelity prototypes and development hand-off.


 




About You



  • Bachelor’s degree, Diploma or equivalent in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Cognitive Science, Digital Web/Software Design, or related academic stream with up to 1-3 years of relevant experience

  • A strong portfolio of completed projects which demonstrate strategic, creative, and user-centered design solutions to complex problems.

  • UX knowledge and experience conducting user research, creating flows, designing wireframes and interactive prototypes using industry software (e.g., Figma and Adobe Suites)

  • Experience building interactive prototypes to validate and test concepts

  • Excellent knowledge of current web trends, accessibility practices (AODA), and production best practices

  • Ability to work independently as well collaboratively as part of a team and to multitask in a high-paced work environment.
