This is a remote position.

As a UX Designer on the Avail team you will apply your skills and experience in user research and design, working closely with the product and development teams to understand our users and to design, prototype, and test excellent interfaces that solve those users’ needs. This is a 6 month contract role with the opportunity to extend or convert to full time.



Responsibilities




  • Design, plan, and execute research studies to deepen our understanding of users and the performance of our interfaces.


  • Analyze and synthesize findings to drive product discovery and vision, UX design, product development and iteration.


  • Translate concepts into user flows, sketches, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.


  • Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.


  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders. Present findings and designs, and lead UX review sessions to align the team and incorporate feedback into designs.


  • Champion design thinking within the organization.









Requirements



  • Three or more years of UX design experience.


  • Experience in web3/crypto is a plus.


  • Proven experience designing end-to-end solutions for complex digital products.


  • Deep expertise in standard UX software such as Figma, Sketch, and similar.


  • Ability to prototype in a variety of mediums, including creating basic functional prototypes.


  • Ability to work with team members and stakeholders to synthesize abstract ideas and requirements, understand design implications, and translate them into concrete designs.


  • A solid grasp of design thinking, user-centered design, planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, and best practices in general.


  • Ability to design complete user experiences, and to efficiently iterate on those designs.


  • Clear and effective communication skills. Ability to present the right information to different audiences as needed.


  • Ability to work in a highly distributed environment, with team members and stakeholders in different timezones.


  • Be passionate about understanding users’ real pain points, addressing them through great design, and honing your craft.
