Position Overview
We are looking for a Color, Material and Finish Design Manager, Creative and Brand to join our growing creative community at Stanley. In this role you will report directly to the Senior Director of CMF & Graphic Design. You will partner closely with Senior CMF Design Manager, CMF Design, Innovation, Product Management and Industrial Design teams ensuring consistent creative and brand execution across the business. Responsibilities



  • Lead color, material and finish design global creative vision.

  • Research consumer lifestyle and design trends, cross referencing fashion & beauty, furniture & home accessories, automotive, sport, lifestyle, music, art, and digital media.

  • Manage on product branding and logo standards. Support creation and execution of on product branding POV and brand assets.

  • Ensure consistent execution of branding on product across the Stanley product landscape.

  • Identify emerging trends in color, material and finish design to ensure Stanley products remains at the forefront of material and finish design innovation.

  • Partner cross functionally to build process and develop tools to support CMF design innovation, oversight, alignment, tracking and timing.

  • Ability to think strategically about consumer driven design, product positioning, product timing and collections.

  • Drive functional process improvements that enhance efficiencies and champion creative goals.

  • Build tools that support creative transparency and visibility within the product organization. Support the creation of presentation decks and visualization materials.

  • Lead as a strategic creative partner to cross-category teams and contributors.



Education and Experience



  • Minimum of 10+ years of creative design and branding experience in CMF design or related consumer goods industry experience.

  • Creative curiosity and a critical design eye; a finger on the pulse of trend, culture and innovative design thinking.

  • Experience defining trends, color and material innovations within the consumer goods space.

  • Experience developing logo and branding guidelines.

  • Solid knowledge of hard and soft materials as well as finish and decoration method expertise (stainless steel, plastics, textiles, paint/powdercoat finishes, printing methods etc.)

  • Experience with diverse and complex product creation and development processes.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbally and visually.

  • Flexible and adaptable due to the evolving needs of a growing brand.

  • Ability to travel if required.

  • Online portfolio representing current relevant work.

  • Hybrid work, location flexibility based on experience and in certain US states.



Software Tools



  • Proficiency in Illustrator required

  • Adobe Suite including Photoshop and InDesign

  • Office Suite including PowerPoint and Excel

  • Keyshot experience a plus



Salary Range


$100,000-$120,000

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on multiple factors, such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience.
