At TRANZACT, we are reinventing the relationship between consumers and their insurance. As the Design Director on our Creative Team, you will play an integral part in crafting frictionless experiences that make a difference in people’s lives. Whether it be building out a wireframe for a new interactive web tool or ideating a storyboard for a YouTube video, our Creative team is at the heart of it all. 


In this position, you will lead and grow our team of designers to do the best work of their (and your) careers. To be successful in this role, you must love design and obsess over ways to make the work even better. You’ll be a mentor, a listener, a doer, and a performance-minded tinkerer. Our bullseye candidate will come from a background of cross-collaborative, data and UX-driven design, ideally in a performance marketing or equivalent environment.

What you’ll do


As Design Director, you’ll be responsible for delivering exceptional design that drives results across all Marketing & Brand mediums.


 


A day in the life 


During your day-to-day, you’ll be an integral part of the Creative Team team with a large focus on:



  • Leadership. Build alignment, vision, career direction, inspiration and connectivity for the team. This position will combine doing, building, and auditing alongside coaching / people management. 

  • Strategy. Work collaboratively with writers, analysts, and business leads to develop creative briefs, concepts, and execute Creative deliverables across all mediums. Proactively identify opportunities and optimizations. Connect the dots between the business, the market and the work.

  • Scale & Prioritization. Balance internal and external resource delegation, work with the Chief Marketing Officer to proactively staff against key deliverables and build networks for flexibility during crunch time. Build & operationalize design processes that drive high quality and efficiency. 

  • Communication. Present work to clients and stakeholders. 

  • Subject Matter Expertise. Ensure our work is best in class and we’re staying current on relevant trends, tools, features and tactics.

  • Brand Integrity. Our brand relationships are an important part of our success, therefore building a deep knowledge, partnership and understanding of their brands is mission critical to maintaining the trusted partnerships we’ve built over time.
