Design Manager
One HR Hub is recruiting on behalf of a distinguished property development company known for its innovative and high-quality projects. Our client is looking for a highly skilled Design Manager to lead and oversee the design process, ensuring that architectural and interior designs meet the companys vision, project requirements, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Design Leadership: Manage and lead the design team (architects, interior designers, and consultants) to develop and execute designs in line with the project vision and brand standards.

Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure seamless coordination between design and execution phases.

Design Review & Development: Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of design drawings, specifications, and other project documentation, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.

Quality Assurance: Ensure all design elements meet the highest standards of quality, aesthetic appeal, and functionality while adhering to project timelines and budgets.

Innovation & Sustainability: Incorporate innovative, sustainable, and energy-efficient design practices into projects to enhance environmental performance.

Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients and key stakeholders to understand their requirements, present design concepts, and ensure their expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Risk Management: Identify potential design risks or issues and proactively develop solutions to mitigate them.

Budget Control: Manage the design budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality or aesthetics.

Documentation & Reporting: Ensure that all design documents are complete, accurate, and updated regularly. Provide regular reports to senior management on design progress and key project milestones.

Vendor Management: Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure designs are implemented to the required standard and on schedule.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.

Experience: At least 7-10 years of experience in design management, preferably in property development or large-scale construction projects.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other design tools. Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction methodologies.

Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and mentor design teams, manage multiple projects, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly communicate design concepts and solutions to clients and stakeholders.

Certifications: Professional certifications (e.g., LEED accreditation or similar) are a plus.
