What are the day-to-day responsibilities of the Electrical Design Manager::

• Accountable for the development and implementation of electrical engineering processes and structure within the business.


• Oversee the production of technical drawings, reports and specifications.


• Check and approve drawings.


• Responsible for the training and development of electrical team members.


• Manage and support scheduling within the electrical design team working closely with the head of engineering.


• Conduct the electrical engineering teams appraisals.


• Creation of Technical Files (CE Marking) and Manuals.

of the Electrical Design Manager:

• Proven experience in Engine Test Cell Engineering (3 - 5 years minimum) is desirable.


• HNC/HND/Degree level in electrical engineering


• Good experience of 2D electrical design packages for wiring schematics, etc


• Strong background in electrical design of industrial capital equipment, machinery & instrumentation such as automated test equipment.


• Ability to specify & design for low voltage applications (48V to 1000VDC.)


• Experience of electrical power distribution.


• Experience of 3 phase and single-phase electrical systems.
