JOB DESCRIPTION 


TITLE: Junior Motion/3D Designer (Intern)


DEPARTMENT: Motion


REPORTING TO: Senior Motion Graphics Designer


SALARY: DOE


TYPE: 6 month paid internship - full time fixed contract

SUMMARY 


Working within the Motion department, you’ll be working on AAA quality video projects, collaborating within a multidisciplinary Studio team and our Client Service teams to deliver the highest standards of work. You will support the motion team with the rollout and localisation of video assets for use in the online and social advertising space. Fast turnarounds are the norm, so you will need to work quickly and accurately across large-scale projects involving multiple territories and formats, in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. You will also work within 3D, helping on a wide variety of 3D projects. From rigging, lighting and texturing 3D characters supplied from developers to compositing 3D renders into 2D scenes. You’ll use and learn a multitude of tools within the full CG pipeline.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Flex your creativity. You should be comfortable researching and generating ideas to shape your design and thinking

  • Sharing your work progress with the team and taking and implementing feedback

  • Localisation of projects across multiple territories and formats is also commonplace, so your technical knowledge, adaptability, attention to detail and proofing skills will need to be strong

  • Support in the management of the organisation of large numbers of renders to ensure efficient proofing and delivery

  • Collaborate and engage closely with the wider Studio team across a diverse range of skills, including motion, developers and creatives, enabling the creation of a wide range of projects

  • Present and justify creative decisions to internal teams, showcasing the thinking and rationale

  • Able to follow brand guidelines carefully and add your own creative flair to the final output when required 

  • Passion for your craft, eagerness to collaborate with other creative people



PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE



  • Able to demonstrate a solid understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud software such as After Effects and Photoshop 

  • An interest in working with data and automation processes

  • A strong sense of typography and layout

  • Comfortable working and taking feedback from Senior Designers, Creative Teams, Copywriters, Art Directors, and the wider studio team of motion and technical specialists, as well the Client Services department

  • A good working knowledge of Google Sheets or similar spreadsheet software (training will be provided on our bespoke systems.)

  • Ability to digest a brief and ask any questions you might need to proceed

  • Knowledge of 3D and Game Development software such as Cinema 4D, Unreal, Unity, Maya, Blender

  • Comfortable with the terminology across 3D pipelines. (Bonus if you have experience in game pipelines)

  • A basic understanding of node based renderers such as Octane as well an understanding of  lighting/materials & rendering.
