We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Product Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong creative imagination, capable of transforming ideas into aesthetically pleasing and functional designs. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining and evolving our signature Carli brand presence, crafting products that not only perform but also resonate with our vision. This position requires collaboration within a close-knit team, so excellent communication skills and a strong sense of teamwork are essential. A willingness to continuously learn and grow, both individually and for the benefit of the company, is crucial for success in this role.


You will be involved in every stage of the design process, from conceptualization to installation and refinement, ensuring prototypes evolve into market-ready products. As part of our commitment to innovation, you will also be expected to contribute to our R&D efforts, enhancing both new prototypes and our existing product line.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Use your imagination and technical skills to shape product ideas and designs that reflect our brand's aesthetic and functionality.
  • Install prototypes and conduct iterative testing to make necessary adjustments, ultimately leading to product sign-off.
  • Work closely with a tight-knit team to ensure seamless collaboration and open communication throughout the product design and development process.
  • Engage with the machine shop and R&D department during the prototype stage to ensure design practicality and manufacturability.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in designing sheet metal components, either in formal or informal settings. You will be expected to showcase project examples (pictures, presentations, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and how to use tools correctly to achieve precision. You will need to demonstrate your previous work through project examples.
  • Expertise in designing sheet metal, CNC parts, and building assemblies. Ability to produce detailed 2D drawings/prints, convert file types, and utilize 3D printing for prototyping.
  • Collaborate directly with our machine shop during the prototype phase to refine designs.
  • Engage with our R&D department to install, test, and improve both prototypes and legacy products.
  • Take ownership of your workflow, managing projects with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain impeccable file management skills to ensure smooth project progression and collaboration with other departments.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Preferred Education and Experience:Β 

  • Minimum of 2 years of SolidWorks experience, with a focus on sheet metal design.
  • Demonstrated experience in metal fabrication and welding.
  • Proficiency in designing sheet metal and CNC parts, as well as working with 2D drawings, file conversions, and 3D printing.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal oversight.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a close-knit environment.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.



Salary Description

$68,000-75,000
