What you’ll do
As the Lead Product Designer at Nclusion, you will assume a key role in shaping the overall user experience and design strategy for our financial technology products. You will drive innovation and contribute to the development of a world-class design culture within our organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead transformative design initiatives in the realm of inclusive and accessible financial services.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design process, from concept to execution, ensuring a high level of design excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and developers, to align design strategies with business goals and user needs.
- Establish and maintain design standards, ensuring consistency across all digital touchpoints.
- Drive user research and usability testing initiatives, leveraging insights to inform and refine design decisions.
- Oversee the creation of wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to communicate design ideas and concepts effectively.
- Actively participate in design critiques, brainstorming sessions, and other collaborative forums.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and design methodologies to continuously enhance your skill set and design capabilities.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product design, with a focus on leadership roles.
- Proven leadership experience in product design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating impactful design solutions.
- Proven experience as a Product Designer or similar role, showcasing a strong portfolio of design projects, including significant mobile design experience.
- Extensive proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- In-depth understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the fintech or financial services sector, with a track record of successful product launches.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a design team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Strong strategic thinking and the ability to align design efforts with business objectives.
- Experience with design systems and their implementation.
- Familiarity with front-end development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
