Responsibilities



  • Deliver on the promises of design systems to increase speed, consistency, and quality of product,

  • Lead the design and implementation of Techcyte’s visual and interaction language including typography, color, iconography and UI components and the tools, resources, and documentation to support the system,

  • Systematize and champion accessibility standards,

  • Work with partners to define user-facing information architecture and taxonomy,

  • Apply user-centered methodologies to discover solutions and validate concepts,

  • Exemplify a strong collaborative relationship with internal partners, specifically product designers, brand designers, marketers, front-end engineers, and test engineers.




The stuff that makes you the ideal candidate





  • Minimum of 5 years of experience maintaining, contributing to, and managing design systems and the designer-developer handoff; bonus for experience establishing a new design system and socializing with a broad team of designers and partners,

  • Expert in Figma, including advanced features such as variable collections, component properties, branching, prototyping, and auto layout,

  • Experience managing design token sets across multiple brands,

  • Demonstrates excellence in visual design and brand craft,

  • Proficiency in asset management and version control through Git,

  • Experience designing with Google Material Design,

  • Familiarity with front-end development such as HTML, CSS, React, and JavaScript,

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Work from Home


While we do have offices available for use, the majority of our workforce spends most, if not all, of their time working from the comfort of their home. Every team member has a daily standup meeting to touch base with their team and a monthly all hands meeting for the whole company to get updates. Additional meetings are created as needed, and the majority are impromptu.
