Stardock is currently seeking an experienced Technical Artist to work closely with our internal Art team on an unannounced game title. The ideal candidate will be skillful in creating technical pipelines utilizing Unreal Engine and will also have an artistic eye. This is a salaried, full-time position reporting to our Plymouth, Michigan studio. This position is open to remote and hybrid applicants.

Primary Responsibilities Include:



  • Evaluate artistsโ€™ needs, identify issues, and create Blueprints, tools, and scripts to support the art creation process.

  • Support art team with tool setup and deployment, troubleshooting, and ensuring tools and pipelines are operational.

  • Help design, manage, and implement technical aspects of art within the creative and technical specifications of the game.

  • Exhibit a high degree of technical knowledge about current industry content workflows, tools, and pipelines.

  • Champion best practices and actively maintain comprehensive documentation.

Education and/or Experience Desired:



  • 3+ Years professional experience in game development as a Technical Artist.

  • 3+ Years professional experience working with Unreal Engine and Blueprints.

  • Degree or certification in related field.

  • Effective communication, teamwork and collaboration skills with different audiences: artists, engineers, managers, designers, etc.

  • Experience with standard industry tools such as Maya is preferred.

  • Experience scripting/programming in Python, C++, C# is preferred.

  • Experience with Houdini and Niagara is a bonus but is not required.
