ABOUT THE POSITION


我们正在寻找一名初级技术美术师,以支持我们的团队每天的技术问题,并帮助建立新的项目。 理想的候选人需要了解美术制作,以及编程;并且能独立,及时地发现任何问题。运用你的技能,以确保美术师的软件,工具和脚本,能够让他们完成工作。你将与美术师与美术总监密切合作,满足他们的制作需求。 你将成为经验丰富的TA团队的一员,将会得到许多经验分享。在工作中,你会接触到不同种类的技术和工作流程,有很多的机会来扩展你的技能!


We are looking for an entry level technical artist to assist our teams with daily issues, and to help with setting up new projects. The ideal candidate is a generalist with knowledge of art production topics, IT topic and programming topics. You are independent and keep an eye open for any problems. You use your many skills to ensure the artists have all the software, tools and scripts to get their work done! You will work closely with artists and art directors and ensure their production needs are being taken care of. You will be part of a team of experienced technical artists, who will share experience and help out if deeper knowledge is required. During your work you will be exposed to various workflows and technologies, giving you many opportunities to expand your skills.



Responsibilities

  • 提供美术团队日常的技术支持;

  • 理解美术团队提出的需求,并完成DCC工具/游戏引擎工具的开发;

  • 创建基本的自动化脚本, 3D应用程序内外的小工具;

  • 安装美术软件,插件和脚本;并提供故障排除;

  • 支持制作人和组长进行工具的规划与部署; 

  • 对美术团队进行特定工具的使用方法的培训。 

  • Day-to-day support of our art teams – inside and outside the 3D application.

  • Understand the requirements from the art team and complete the development of DCC tools/game engine tools.

  • Creation of basic automation scripts, small tools inside and outside the 3D application. Installation and troubleshooting of art software, plugins and scripts. 

  • Supporting producers and team leaders in planning deployment of tools.

  • Train art teams in use of specific tools and best practices.



Qualifications

职位要求: 



  • 有编程背景, 熟悉至少一种编程语言,如 C++,C#,  Python,MaxScript,Mel,Vex,如果在GitHub上有作品更佳

  • 至少熟悉DCC工具 maya/max/Blender其中一个,会骨骼绑定,懂动画更佳

  • 了解Unity/Unreal,有图形学背景更佳

  • 有可展示的3D作品更佳

  • 良好的口头和书面沟通能力 

  • 良好的英文阅读能力和普通话能力 

  • 熟悉Maya或3D Studio Max 

  • 熟悉材质球的运用 

  • 了解3D Studio Max脚本,MEL或Python 

  • 了解版本控制系统,e.g.Perforce 

  • 能够独立解决问题,积极主动的态度,表现出主动性

  • 做事严谨认真,有责任感,能够接受新事物,新技术

  • 有团队合作的概念,遇事能够主动沟通,协调不同需求之间的时间冲突



有以下经验优先: 



  • DOS批处理编程或Windows PowerShell脚本

  • 参与过已上线的游戏项目 

  • 如果你自己有擅长的DCC工具,但是上述文字没有列举出来(比如 Houdini/MotionBuilder/C4D),也欢迎提供介绍

  • 如果有其它编程语言经验,比如java,Golang 等,对游戏行业感兴趣,愿意转TA,学习能力强,也欢迎申请


 


Qualifications:



  • Programming background, familiar with at least one programming language, e.g. C++, C#, Python, MaxScript, Mel, Vex. Portfolio on GitHub would be a plus.

  • Familiar with at least one of the DCC tools maya/max/Blender. Knowing bone binding, know animation is a plus.

  • Knowledge of Unity/Unreal. Graphics background is a plus.

  • Demonstrable 3D work is a plus.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills. 

  • English reading and Mandarin Chinese skills required. 

  • Good knowledge of Maya or 3D Studio Max. 

  • Basic / Intermediate knowledge of 3D Studio Max script, MEL or Python. 

  • Experience of making materials. 

  • Knowledge of revision control systems, such as Perforce. 

  • Independent, Pro-active, showing initiative. 

  • Rigorous and conscientious, with a sense of responsibility. Able to accept new things, new technology.

  • Have the concept of teamwork. Able to take the initiative to communicate and coordinate the time conflict between different needs.


 


Bonus: 



  • DOS Batch programming or Windows Powershell.

  • Shipped a game as technical artist. 

  • If you have your own DCC tools that you are good at, but not listed above (e.g. Houdini/MotionBuilder/C4D), welcome to introduce.

  • If you have experience in other programming languages, such as java, Golang, etc., and you are interested in the game industry and willing to switch to TA role, and also you are a strong learner, welcome to apply!
