POSITION SUMMARY

The Technical Artist III will have a strong background in producing high-quality art and animation for characters, environments, UI, and VFX, while working collaboratively with the team to generate creative ideas and solutions. This individual should also have excellent time management skills, and be proficient in cross-discipline collaboration, problem-solving, and communication.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will be responsible for the following primary functions:

  • Produce high-quality animations using animation principles for characters, environments, UI, and VFX
  • Encourage and generate creative ideas and solutions with the team
  • Demonstrate excellent time management to deliver art and animations to the required quality, specification, and time
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of how art and animation supports gameplay and narrative, and effectively communicate these links to the team
  • Proficiently use 3D animations software (e.g., Maya, Blender, Unity)
  • Create efficient 3Drigging, weighting, and animation files optimized for Unity
  • Design optimized texture sheets for 3D assets implemented in Unity
  • Prioritize optimization when integrating animations within the game engine

Education & experience

  • 3+ years of experience using Unity
  • 5+ years of game development experience
  • 2 + years Adobe Suite (Photo Shop, After Affects) working with 2D textures
  • Senior level art and animations skills (2D/3D, character, environment, UI, VFX)
  • Software experience in Maya, Blender, Unity, Photoshop, and Perforce
  • Technical experience in modeling, skinning, and rigging 2D/3D assets/characters
  • Experience working on business-level tasks, e.g., cross-discipline pipeline development
