Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the design team with planning, prioritizing, and overseeing initiatives; manage project initiatives; ensure that all designs are executed on time and at the highest quality levels; manage and scope team initiatives, set priorities, and direct the team to ensure timely delivery
  • Create the vision for developing, communicating, and implementing user experiences for multiple products across native and web platforms; follow through with the processes and tactics to implement the vision
  • Lead a team of designers to create viable, feasible, and desirable products in a team environment
  • Guide teams to understand customers and their needs through market analysis, customer research, usability research, and customer feedback
  • Coach a team of designers on design principles and standards with business requirements to assist in developing use cases and high-level design requirements
  • Collaborate with senior leaders from Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of direct people management 
  • 8+ years of design experience 
  • Experience leading design teams in problem definition, artifact rendering, cross-functional collaboration and delivery, and user validation and measurement
  • Experience designing responsive web or native mobile applications
  • Experience developing cross-functional relationships with product, consumer research and marketing teams to develop strategy and consumer insights that drive compelling creative executions
  • Experience with a variety of design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and Figma
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience Design, or related field

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading a team in establishing and utilizing a scalable Design Language System (DLS) for creating and managing reusable components and design patterns
  • Experience implementing design principles and processes, including UX strategy, visual hierarchy, color theory, typography, illustrations and interaction design
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on design best practices, user research methodologies, interaction design, and UX frameworks
  • Experience in omni-channel marketing, search engine marketing or search engine optimization
  • Experience with annual brand and media planning
  • Master's degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience Design, or related field
